The best Techniques for fastest results

Chiropractic is the largest natural healthcare profession in the world. Use a variety of different techniques and have selected the best part to use for our clients.

Diversified Technique

It is the most commonly used technique in Chiropractic

As the name suggests, the diversified technique involves a range of chiropractic adjustments, all of which are used to correct affected vertebral segments. Diversified adjustments involve the delivery of a quick and short thrust to the restricted joints, either by hand or with the assistance of a table or block.

A type of high-velocity, low-amplitude adjustment, this technique is delivered at a precise angle, depth, direction and speed, which is determined through years of practice, experience, education, and diagnostic expertise.

Gonstead Technique

A Gonstead chiropractor looks at the whole person and searches for the source of a patient’s pain or discomfort by examining spinal misalignments, nerve dysfunction, foundational imbalance, and motion disturbances. Adjustments are then made to help restore natural spinal alignment and optimal movement. As the most complete method of biomechanical analysis, the Gonstead approach requires a high level of mastery, skill, and practice.

It uses X rays, bio structural assessment both from the front and side views to assist in the adjustment protocol.

Drop Piece Technique

This is a technique that was originated in the 1950’s by Dr. Clay Thompson. The technique uses an adjusting table with segmented drops. These drops lower various parts of the patient’s spine quickly, either in the dorsal, lumbar, or pelvic areas, depending on which area is being treated. The quick drops allow your chiropractor to thrust on your spine at a much more powerful speed, using the most minimal amount of force to do it. The initial thrust begins the movement of the spine, and the drop of the table takes the area of the spine being worked on through its full range of motion.

This promotes better, easier, more accurate adjustments, and swifter healing.

Activator Method

The Activator Method chiropractic technique uses a spring-loaded, hand-held mechanical instrument called the Activator adjusting instrument. This instrument allows chiropractors to provide a quick, low-force impulse at specific points.

There are two theoretical advantages of an Activator instrument-assisted treatment:

  • High speed. The instrument is so quick that the body’s muscles are less likely to tense in response and resist the treatment. The lack of muscle resistance may facilitate the treatment’s effectiveness.
  • Controlled force. The applied force is localized and does not put the joint in any compromised positions, such as bending or twisting.

Muscle/Nerve Testing

Applied Kinesiology™ (AK) is a unique health care system because it recognises that appropriate body mechanics, biochemistry and emotional health are fundamental to optimal health.

Your nervous system monitors and coordinates all your body interactions. On that basis, the Applied Kinesiology practitoner uses muscle testing to assess your nervous system function and find a solution to your health concerns.

Digital Posture Assessment

Maintaining a good posture is vital to your overall health. Aesthetically it is also a sign of strength and confidence and the ‘hump back’ look is not something we want later in life. So choosing to assess, correct and maintain your posture in proper alignment is the smart choice.

Good posture enables muscles to coordinate efficiently, joints to move freely and to minimize excess damage to the spinal joints leading to arthritis and other health conditions.

We use the latest technology to assess and compare your posture before and after programs of care. Call us to book in for your postural assessment.
